Ribbit! Ribbit! We are hatching frogs in our classroom. They are five weeks old right now. The tadpoles don't have any legs yet. Everyday we check their progress to see how they are doing. When they are ready we will set them free in a pond.
Pioneers
We are studying how the pioneers headed west. We are looking up information on the computers in our classroom. We built covered wagons in art class. Soon, we will pretend we are travelling west in our own wagon train. It must have been a very long and hard trip.
We were so sad to see Miss Marquis go to California. Mrs. Farrand joined our class two days later. She will be with us until the end of the year.
Bound Books We each made our own bound books. We wote the stories and illustrated them. Mrs. Farrand took our pictures with the digital camera, and we typed our "Meet the Author" pages. Mrs. Farrand put them together on the computer, and Mrs. Ray pasted them into our bound books.
