Estabrook Science Fair

6:30pm-8pm

All Estabrook students from kindergarten to fifth grade are invited to participate in the Estabrook Science Fair scheduled for April 13, 2005. This is a non-competitive event and students may sign-up as an individual, small group (2-4 students) or in collaboration with parents as a family project. Participants are encouraged to ask a question and then design an experiment or inquiry that will help answer the question. Participants will create an exhibit, experiment, demonstration or some combination of the three. They will have a chance to discuss their findings with other students, teachers and visitors at the fair. More details and help on how to construct and develop a science fair project to follow.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out and return the sign-up form along with a $4.00 check made payable to the Estabrook PTA and drop-off in the front office. Scholarships are available through Ms. Jay. For more information, please contact one of the following people:

• Which brand of paper towels is the strongest?
• What material is the best conductor or heat?
• Which paper plane design is the fastest?
• What factors affect the size and growing rate of crystals?
• What is the effect of the different physical activities on heart rate?
• Does sunlight affect plant growth?
