A lot of people wonder what attracts Snowy Owls to Logan Airport. Well, one of the reasons is because Snowy Owls like living in the tundra. A tundra is cold, with short grass and very few trees. Logan Airport looks just like the tundra so Snowy Owls thought that Logan Airport was really a tundra and decided to stay.
Also, Logan Airport has a lot of rodents and birds that Snowy Owls like to eat, like rats, mice, ducks, musk rats, small birds, pigeons, skunks, and great herons.
Now you are probably thinking all the noise that Logan Airport makes would bother the Snowy Owls. Well you are wrong--it does not affect the Snowy Owl at all. That is what I call good neighbors.
But not all Snowy Owls come to Logan Airport in Boston, MA. They prefer the nice cold air in Canada. It's that or they can't afford a plane ticket to Boston.
