Owls

The fourth graders of Estabrook School in Lexington, MA welcome you to our Owl Home Pages. All of the fourth grade classes have done extensive research about owls or other birds of prey. The research included reading both fiction and non-fiction books, visiting World Wide Web sites, visiting local Audobon Society museums, interviewing wildlife rehabilitators, dissecting owl pellets, listening for owls on a night walk, and much more.

The students then assembled their research and creative writing into a book. For their home pages they have chosen their favorite graph, chart, map, or picture along with some accompanying text.

The work was completed under the direction of their classroom teachers Renee Sack and Nancy Alloway, classroom tutor Ninfa Ortalono and student teacher Erin Whyte. Thanks to Lexington High School Computer Club members Nick Ingolia and Elaine Srotm and parent Mr. Denison for putting this information on the WWW.
