Once upon a time owls did not have sharp talons. Now as you can imagine this would make it difficult to do various things such as catch prey because it would get away! And it would make it hard to get a perch! Now this was totally inconvenient! The Great Horned Owl named Snare was the only one that noticed this because the rest were incredibly stupid! This Great Horned Owl had several attempts to sharpen his talons but none worked such as when he tried to peck at his talons until they were sharper but that just damaged his beak! He also tried to dig his talons into wood to get them sharper but that did not work. By now he was getting so frustrated that he blindly flew into a rock, however when he looked down he caught a glint and looked harder and YES!!! his talons were slightly sharper!! He went down again and again and again and each time his talons got slightly sharper! Pretty soon they were as sharp as razors! And in about one month all owls had sharp talons!
